Countries Expected to Help Save Rainforests
Deforestation accounts for almost twenty percent of greenhouse gas emissions, and directly contributes to global warming. A new report commissioned by the UK concluded that developed nations should foot the bill for reviving rainforests, in order to lessen the effects of climate change and create new trees. However, the program would cost tens of billions of dollars, and with the economy the way it is, it may be years before any real change can be implemented.
